Where Your Member Dues Go
Your dues allow us to serve our members, especially students, by having them involved in important projects and programs, including the journal Lateral. In terms of our conference, we intend to build funds to help students defray travel costs. We also intend to inaugurate summer institutes. Of course, these projects cost the CSA money and to continue to offer them, we need to ensure a minimum income beyond the conference. In the end, your dues go back to you: since we are a nonprofit 501c3, any monies we generate will have to go to the association and the conference and, thus, to the membership.
Refund policy: CSA membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
In addition, student membership rates may require proof of current student status.
