CSA Code of Conduct
The CSA is committed to providing an inclusive and harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, religion, or other group identity.
Attendees should be aware of the CSA’s Statement of Values and Ethics, its Statements of Accessibility and Inclusion, and its Grievance Procedure, which, along with this document, are posted on our website and linked in the yearly program. [These are currently TBA.]
Behaviors that are unacceptable at any meeting of the CSA, including conferences, Working Group meetings, Governing Board meeting, Lateral journal meetings, and any other meeting officially convened under our name include
Speakers are asked to frame discussions as openly and inclusively as possible and to be aware of how language or images may be perceived by others. Attendees may exercise their option to leave a session or a conversation. Exhibitors must follow all CSA exhibits rules, regulations, and policies.
All attendees are expected to follow these guidelines in all convention venues, including online venues, and at convention social events. Attendees asked to stop a hostile or harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

- Sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact
- Shouting down, threatening, or otherwise inappropriately silencing speakers
